Jersey Knows Firsthand What’s Dangerous About Trump

I’ve sat back and waited. I’ve waited for the circus and shit show that is Donald Trump to die down. I’ve patiently waited and watched as friends on social media have come out of the shadows and blatantly expressed racist and bigoted views against Mexicans, Muslims and many others in support of the ludicrous things Donald Trump has said during this campaign for Presidency. Enough is enough now. I’m over this bullshit. I’m going to explain to you all why this man needs to be put down and how he’s playing the citizens of this country for fools. Yes, this article is going to be lengthy and have various links to other articles for fact verification. But, if you care at all about your country and where it is heading, I strongly urge you to take the time to read it all.

I have been very vocal on social media about Donald Trump. I’ve avoided sharing it here but I can no longer stay silent. Today is a huge voting day in our country and Donald Trump is leading the Republican Party, which is scary for many reasons. It’s time for the people of this country who are blindly following this man as if they are watching a reality show on TV to understand who and what he is. This is not a game. This is the future of your lives, your children’s and grandchildren we are talking about. Being ignorant in who this man is when going to the polls is dangerous. So is he.

I’m a lifelong Jersey Girl. I have also worked in Atlantic City and with the higher ups of the casino industry. I know things. I know important things about this man. I am not the only one. There are many people who could expose this man for what he is if you would just listen. Sadly, many of you continue to make excuses for him and state your support for him based on what he tells you he is, not on what he really is.

Before I tell you about Donald Trump, please watch this very informative clip from Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He has kindly put together most of what I’ve been saying from the beginning about Mr. Trump. If you truly care at all about being an INFORMED voter this election year, I ask that you take the time to listen to this.

Now here are some reasons I have heard from people as to why they are supporting Donald Trump and why they are very inaccurate.

1. He’s a great businessman.

This is the one I hear the most and actually the biggest lie of them all. Donald Trump is not a great businessman. Mediocre maybe, and that’s being kind. Donald Trump has spent his lifetime destroying the livelihoods of everyday hard working Americans like the ones who are supporting him based on this statement. It is a known fact in the Atlantic City area, as well as other places where Trump has done business or built anything, that he hires local contractors and laborers (as well as illegal immigrants he is screaming we need to kick out of our country), has them contracted to do their part in the job, then doesn’t pay them. He threatens to tie them up in court and litigation, knowing these small businesses could never afford to fight him. He has screwed the American people for decades and if he has the power to run this country, please do not think for a minute that his selfish business practices would change.
Trump not only threatens to tie up workers cases in court, he has done it.Read about the lawsuit against Trump by Polish immigrant workers in New York that dragged on for over 15 years at the time of the story in 1998.

His business ethics are not great at all. Donald Trump takes advantage of the corporate welfare benefits that have essentially destroyed our middle class. The wealth he brags about-that’s your tax dollars in his pockets! Not only has he stiffed middle class workers out of payment, he has stiffed residents of every state he has dipped his dirty little fingers into with his “business” ventures. Donald Trump has learned how to use the bankruptcy laws to avoid paying for his “investments” while pocketing profits and salaries for himself in the form of bonuses, etc. Sure, there are other corporation heads out there who have done this, but they aren’t running for President of the United States. Also, only an estimated 5 percent of the 500 biggest U.S. companies have filed for bankruptcy in the past two decades, Georgetown law professor Adam Levitin has said.

Want to know how much his bankruptcies have cost the American taxpayers? Read this informative article.

Remember the Wall Street housing market crash where tax dollars were used to bail out the banks that already stole from millions of Americans and drained them of their life savings, destroying the American dream of home ownership for them? Well, those Wall Street crooks not only crashed the housing market, they took the American citizens hard earned tax dollars in that bailout and gave themselves millions of dollars in bonuses. They rewarded themselves for stealing our money with more of our money. So, yes, that’s what Donald Trump basically does. The same Wall Street assholes that he says he will raise taxes on are the same people his plan actually lowers taxes for. Yes, the one actual plan he has given us for all the things he claims he will do, doesn’t benefit anyone still struggling to hold onto middle class status.

2. He is not a politician. He’s one of us.

No, no and let me say…HELL NO. So far from the truth. First off, he’s nothing like the average American. The average American doesn’t have millions of dollars inherited by their daddy to invest in businesses and doesn’t start from the top. Also, he’s absolutely the poster child for what is wrong with politicians in this country. You see, he is not new to politics at all. He’s just new to the official capacity of one in his campaign. Donald Trump has been on the corporate interest side of politics for as long as he’s been screwing people in business. He’s also been doing it as a Democrat pretty much until he became Republican Presidential hopeful. He’s been playing the political game of this country for years as a campaign donor and buying his way through political system on the corporate side.

Donald Trump has been donating to Democratic politicians for years. Another well known fact which can easily be researched. Take a look at his donation history in the bar graph here. All of his stances on various political issues have been in alignment with Democratic views until recently. His supporters really should be asking why. Further in this article, I’ll give you my thoughts on why and what I’ve suspected the reason behind this entire campaign has been since the beginning.

3. He’s going to make America great again.

Another dangerous misconception lies in his campaign slogan. Donald Trump is not going to make America great again, especially since he’s had a hand in bringing it to where it is now. America is a great country in many ways and there is no arguing that it needs a lot of work to rise to the level of expectations the world once held for this country. Trump is one of the least qualified human beings to take on the task and be successful at it. His ignorance when it comes to vital foreign policies will put America at risk of falling further down the ditch and away from world leadership status. Donald Trump’s bigotry and hate against various groups all over the world will weaken our international relationships, not strengthen them.

4. He’s going to fix our immigration problems.

Oh this one. This one is at the center of the racist fueled posts I see everyday on social media. It saddens and sickens me how many people I thought I knew are actually bigots. Let’s not forget the hypocrisy as well. Donald Trump is leading the charge of a very dangerous division happening in this country. As Americans, this country’s core is immigrants. Trump isn’t talking about getting rid of just illegal immigrants. He’s talking about all of them. Yet, ironically, his wife is one of them. Actually 2 of his wives weren’t even citizens when he married them and didn’t become legal American citizens until years later. But he’s going to kick them all out.

He’s also claiming that he will force the Mexicans build a wall to keep them all out. Well, he seems to forget his parents were immigrants and so are all the white people he thinks he’s speaking for in his attacks on every other nationality and religion that he is not. He also seems to forget that the state he lives in, New York, was for many years, the welcoming center for immigrants coming to America. That big statue in the waters of New Jersey overlooking the city he lives in, is kinda a big deal. It signifies what this country stands for and it’s not a wall. It’s a welcome. Ellis Island is also just a short ferry ride away from his Trump Towers. Maybe he should take a ride over there to learn some history.

Do we need to work on our immigration policies? Of course we do. America has a serious issue with illegal immigration and needs a reasonable solution. Donald Trump is not offering one.

America has undoubtedly made a lot of mistakes in policies, laws and behavior. The learning process has been underway for a few hundred years. However, in order to keep moving forward with progress, it is imperative that we don’t take steps backwards in policy. Donald Trump is not the guy we want to lead us because he’ll bring us right back to segregation and destroy all of the progress we have made in race relations, equal rights and women’s rights, just to name a few.

5. He speaks his mind and doesn’t care what the political establishment thinks.

That one is true. He doesn’t care. He also doesn’t care about you or me. He cares about himself and his own legacy. He’s a perfect representation of an extreme narcissist and a man with a serious Napoleon complex. Also, he’s just a total asshole. There’s really no other better way to sum him up. He’s been a douche bag all of his life and being raised by a douche bag, it is clear the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I won’t even get into it about his father but I urge all of you to Google that piece of shit.

And well, then there’s this crazy loon.  “Dumb and Dumber” really was the best way to describe it. Whoever pulled this one out of Alaska really opened Pandora’s Box with that brilliant plan.

The only good thing about this was the anticipation for SNL that upcoming weekend as we all knew Tina Fey would be making a guest appearance as Palin, one of her best roles ever.

Although the “I’m with Stupid” really sums it up nicely too. The Daily News has gotten the opportunity to really flex its creative muscles thanks to this campaign.tump-palin-stupid.jpg

Whether you are party affiliated or not, do not let the divisions of party decide who you vote for. The party divisions are just one of many tactics being used to divide a country of people who may have differences but are fundamentally all the same.

A great collection of clips that show what a hypocrite he really is, in his own words.

Why is Donald Trump Running for President with a Campaign  of Hate, Bigotry, Childish Name Calling  and Outrageous Claims?

As far as Trump’s motivation for this presidential campaign, I’ve had a theory from the beginning. I’ve suspected that he has entered this race as a Republican to destroy that party from within and give Hillary Clinton a better chance at winning the race. It seems I’m not the only one. In looking to see who else has come up with this theory, I’ve found a few articles that cite valid reasons as to why this could be the case.

Trump helping Clinton?

Glenn Beck Suggests Donald Trump is Running to Help Hillary

Regardless of why, the fact remains that Donald Trump is not only running for POTUS as a Republican, he’s also the front runner. This is a scary situation and dangerous for our country. We’ve got to come together as citizens and stop allowing this to continue. It’s time to put the rabid dog down and focus on serious and important issues that need our attention. The side show is distracting people from too many news worthy issues that need and deserve our attention. Stop the madness.

Please go to the polls and make an informed choice.

UPDATE:

Since writing this blog entry on Super Tuesday, March 1, 2016, this story has come to light. I feel it is very imperative to include an addendum to my post in order to share this. It is vital that people understand the level of danger this campaign poses to ALL people. Yes, racism exists with or without Trump. However, all it takes is that one spark, the one peek into the darkness to unleash it. Giving racists and bigots the fuel to reignite their fire of anger and hate will bring nothing but destruction to an already unstable nation. Allowing the hate to be fed and breed is what makes it spread. White supremacists assaulted a black student at the Trump Super Tuesday Rally yesterday. See the video and story here.

How can any Trump supporters think this is how we make “America Great Again?” This is how we dissolve years of progress with one single election cycle. This is sickening and supporting this man is supporting racism.

Oh and he doesn’t know who David Duke is? Yes, yes he does. Not the first lie he’s been caught in. In fact, most of what he has spewed during this campaign as “facts” have been total fiction. See for yourself.

Again, make an informed decision before you vote.

  1. Very Good Read. I also believe that this man is being allowed to destroy the republican party. Possibly hired by the democrats to do so. I do not believe that he even wants to be President… He is, at his core, an entrepreneur. He knows the benefit to his organization, to use this whole thing as a selling point, to be used in the future for more business opportunities…
